Maggie Kiley directed and co-wrote the award winning short film SOME BOYS DON’T LEAVE.

She was one of eight women selected out of hundreds of applicants to take part in American Film Institute’s prestigious Directing Workshop for Women and the film was made as part of her participation in the program.

Maggie received the Student Visionary Award at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and the Alexis Award for Best Emerging Student Filmmaker at Palm Springs International Shortfest. She was selected as one of just five 'Film Groundbreakers' at Hatchfest Asheville which allowed her to be mentored by acclaimed film director Jon Amiel.
